German Talk (Unterhaltung)
We teach through the METIS Academy educational portal in a face-to-face (daily) form, during which there is direct communication and interaction of the student with the lecturer and with other students in the virtual classroom, while the student can be in any place and is connected online.

Who is the training for?
For anyone who knows all the basic laws of the German language, reliably uses German language independently in all common situations and is at least a regular PC user.
Entry profile/requirements/prerequisites
Good knowledge of grammar and general vocabulary at level B2.1. We assume the internal motivation of the participant to build a career in middle and upper management in a German-speaking environment, or in a company in the Slovak Republic where the management also speaks German.
Content of the course
Grammar, vocabulary, written and oral speech aimed at mastering the following areas:
- grammatically correct presentation in one's own written and oral speech with the use of details confirming high-quality language preparation
- writing structured texts, reports or articles using your own ideas
- recognition of details about suitability or the inappropriateness of using different phrases, specific phrases, functional verb phrases, etc.
- getting to know various curious German words and incorporating them into one's own vocabulary
- trouble-free movement in a German-speaking environment (e.g. on a business trip, etc.)
- combining own professional knowledge and experience with language equipment
- each lesson has three phases: "discover something new", "get better" and "use it in a real situation”
Output profile/acquired knowledge
The graduate of the educational program will be able to consider himself an extremely reliable and accurate user of the German language at the B2.2 level (achieving this language level is also linked to employment on the labor market => the graduate will meet the prerequisites for working in middle and upper management in a German-speaking environment , or in a company in the Slovak Republic where German is also spoken in the management), which are necessary to achieve the next level of knowledge of the German language, and will be able to:
- extremely reliable and accurate use of German language in all situations
- understand written text, any spoken word, television and radio broadcasts and films in the German language
- communicate with colleagues or customers in German-speaking countries in German when solving professional tasks in any field
- express themselves in detail on a wide range of topics
- prepare a detailed report on a wide range of topics
- expand your knowledge with other facts and methods aimed at reaching a higher level
- continue to expand their knowledge of landscape science and intercultural knowledge at a higher level
- write letters/emails, etc., which clarify the importance of events, happenings, etc.
- conduct telephone communication (appointment agreements, conference calls, etc.)
- speak during a phone call
- explain positions on current work issues
- understand longer speeches and lectures
- actively participate in work discussions
- communicate with German speakers at a level comparable to the average person for whom German is their mother tongue
